Church Family
Community Life
In addition to praise, worship, and Bible study, Sunday services are our church's family gathering. We love to celebrate, encourage, and lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ (John 13:35; Galatians 6:2; 1 Thessalonians 2:8). We joyfully announce births, weddings, and significant anniversaries. We pray for specific needs in the church, present ministry opportunities, and share updates from our missionaries. We sometimes will set aside time to hear testimonies about what God is doing in a member's life.
Once per month, we share communion together. As Jesus commands, we partake in the bread and cup (individual servings of juice and gluten-free cracker) to remember His death together with all true Christians (Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:26-29).
A couple of times a year, we will have a believer's baptism at the end of a service. Baptism is an outward sign that someone has already submitted to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is a step of obedience to the commandment that believers should be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20). Baptism is a symbol of dying to our sin, being buried with Christ, and rising to new life.
