THE GOSPEL

Church of the Canyons proclaims the gospel, or good news, of God's salvation to everyone through His Son, Jesus Christ, as delivered to us in God's word, the Bible. 

All fall short

1. We are all sinners and separated from God.

"...it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment..." (Hebrews 9:27)

"...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)

Christ is the bridge

2. Christ lived, died, and was resurrected to bridge that separation.

"But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

Whoever believes in Him

3. Salvation is available to all who seek Him.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

What must I do?

4. What must I do to be saved?

Agree with what God says about your sinful condition: "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior: "...'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved'..." (Acts 16:31)

Choose: Do you agree with what God has said about your sinful condition? Are you willing to believe in Jesus Christ as your only hope for salvation? If you are, God has a wonderful promise for you: "...'And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Acts 2:21)
