COC Youth Group is for students in grades 6-12.
On Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., we study particular passages from the Bible that deal with issues teens face.
To give God the glory and credit He is due (Mark 12:30-31).
Our method of building into people's lives is to enfold, equip, and entrust. Enfolding is welcoming students to our ministry and introducing them to Jesus Christ and how they can begin a relationship with God through Him (Matt. 28:19, 2 Cor. 5:14-21). Equipping is training students to develop a relationship with God that is characterized by friendship and obedience (John 15:13-15, Matt. 28:20). Entrusting is sending students to serve and teach others what they have learned about a relationship with God (2 Tim. 2:2).
What does this mean practically? We gather to study the Bible and build relationships that encourage us to grow in our Christian faith (Heb. 10:24-25).
Note: While we do many "fun" things, it is not our purpose to provide an alternative to worldly entertainment or to fill students' free time. Our goal is to train and equip young people to be contributing members of the body of Christ (Rom. 12:4-6, Eph. 4:12) and to train them to fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20, Luke 24:47, Acts 1:8).
