Taking the Gospel to the Nations

Antioch Missions Council

At Church of the Canyons, we are committed to advancing the Great Commission. Our international missions ministry equips member missionaries, supports global partners, and demonstrates God’s love through prayer, financial support, and active involvement. We seek to send and care for missionaries while inspiring our church family to engage in God’s mission around the world.

For a small church, COC’s focus on missions is significant. Our five international missionaries focus on local church planting and raising up indigenous pastors. COC’s Antioch Missions Council members serve as liaisons with each of the missionaries we support. They arrange local accommodations and necessities when international missionaries are on furlough, communicate as often as possible to support and pray with them, publicize ways to help our local outreach ministries, and give monthly “Missions Moments” updates to the COC body.

Our Global Mission

Our Goal

To create member missionaries and faithfully support current and future missionaries through teaching, sending, and caring, ensuring that the gospel reaches every nation.

Serving Around the World

Our Missionaries

Johnny and Alexandra Gravino: Italy

Johnny and Alexandra began serving in Sicily in 2009. Johnny is involved in a church plant and oversees a seminary that trains up Italian pastors. He currently serves with LifeGate Worldwide.

Mark and Jess Stucky: Brazil

Mark and Jess met and married during their college years at COC. Their faithful service as part of the Antioch Missions Council, college group, community groups, church events, and informal fellowship and discipleship was always marked by humble love. Thirteen years ago, the Stuckys’ love for the gospel sent them on a path toward international missions. They currently live in Brazil, where they plant churches and, in ways small and large, love people as they always have. They and their three sons are now church planting in Sapiranga, Brazil. Their church, Ministério Bíblico de Sapiranga, officially started service in October 2018 and is now a thriving local body of believers.

The Stuckys are a part of Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission.

Eric and Heather Z.: Dubai

Eric, Heather, and their five children live and work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Eric has a doctorate in theology and leads and teaches at Gulf Theological Seminary, training local pastors from all over the Middle East to impact their churches and, through those churches, all of India for the gospel.

P and H: Southeast Asia

P and H minister to university students, hoping to reach the next generation of leaders for a greater impact in that part of the world. They seek to glorify God by producing disciples of Jesus Christ for the purpose of church planting and initiating a mission movement.

T & D: Sub-Saharan Africa

T and D focus on equipping church leaders, planting and strengthening churches, and caring for orphans. T is pastoring at a region-leading church, and has established a free Bible institute for rural pastors to be trained in their local language. Pastors in the program spend one week out of every month at the institute, participating in over 40 hours of classes and other discipleship opportunities, before returning to their villages.
